National Sugar Cookie Day

Even though this isn't earring related, I wanted to share my very best favorite sugar cookie recipe with you. Hope you try them and enjoy them as much as I do. I wish I had a picture, but I have a tendency to eat them before I remember to take a picture. I make these green and red for Christmas holidays, red, white and blue for 4th of July and green for St. Patrick's day. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Sugar Cookies

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

4 cups & 1T flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 tsp cream of tartar

Roll into 1" balls (I use a small ice cream scooper to make them uniform). Use bottom of glass dipped in colored sugars to slightly flatten the cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
